Quinta do Lago Laranjal Golf Course

Over 30 golf courses spreading along 130 miles of beautiful coast line there is barely an inch distance between one Tee and the next. Roll comfortably along the EN-125 motorway from Faro and all exits lead to golf. The greatest concentration of Algarve golf courses are less than an hour away from Faro airport.

Algarve West Coast has 12 golf courses, from the legendary Penina and Palmares to more recent ones like Morgado, Alamos, Boavista, Vale da Pinta, Gramacho, Alto club, Parque da Floresta, and the latest luxury championship courses of Faldo & O'connor masterpieces at the Oceanico 5 star complex.

The major concentration of golf courses in the Algarve is still around Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago areas.

Legendary golf courses, internationally renowned, like S. Lourenço, Vilamoura Old Course and Oceanico Victoria, also the Royal and Ocean golf courses in Vale do Lobo, Vila Sol, Quinta do Lago North and South and their new jewel Laranjal golf course. Alongside these courses we also have, Salgados, Pine Cliffs, Millennium, Pinhal, Laguna and Pinheiros Altos all offering great options for the amateur golfer on holiday.

East Algarve was blessed with the creation of 'Monte Rei' Jack Nicklaus masterpiece, the best golf course in Portugal, complemented by some other championship courses, like Quinta da Cima, Quinta da ria and Quinta do Vale also Benamor and Castro Marim ideal for the amateur golfers.

Tee times in Algarve

Green Fee prices vary along the year. Generaly – March, April, May, mid September, October are consider high season and Nov. Dec, Jan, along with the summer months low season.

In the low season late deals like free buggy and cheaper green fees are a must among ocasional golfers spending their family holidays.

In the Spring Algarve golf courses become busier with Society golfers, Corporate groups and enthusiastic golfers looking for the suns rays on the fairways.

Algarve golf courses in the High Season give starting times on the 1st and 10th tees at the same time, from sun rising till 10:30 am, and then starting times are allocated again from 12.30 till 5:30 hours before dark. The most prestigious golf courses like the Old Course, Oceanico Victoria, Monte Rei, Faldo and O'Connor all use starting times from the 1st Tee only.
